Lin Kerr – teaching qualifications

Lin Kerr has an arts degree: BA (fine Arts) majoring in history of art, life painting, drawing and design.

She also has a teacher’s degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA)

When she first came to the UK in 1998 she did two one-year courses:

Traditional Skills and Gilding and an intensive Italic course, gaining distinctions in both.

She has taught at primary school, high school, graphics design college and in adult education. Since 1988 most of her teaching has been in adult education.

Lin is a fellow of CLAS (Calligraphy and Lettering Association) and a Full member of Letter Exchange.

She has written numerous articles in international publications and her work been accepted in the Lettering Arts Review juried publication for the past five years. LAR (USA) is the largest lettering arts magazine in the world.

Lin has taught at summer schools in South Africa, Belgium and the United Kingdom.

She gives courses at various venues for groups around the UK throughout the year.
