This is a close up of a large panel by Ursula Von Rydingsvard about 12 meters by 4.5 meters. "Mama build me a fence" is two dimensional because it is meant to be read a drawing. Planks were laid together, drawn on. taken apart, cross cut, hatched, etched and then reassembled. Chalk and graphite was added to enhance the textures. The sculptor of The Bronze Bowl , Ursula von Rydingsvard, must be one of the most significant and phenomenal sculptors of the 21stC. And I have seen her work! What a joy and a privilege. I had planned to visit YSP (Yorkshire Sculpture Park), a much talked about (amazing) sculpture park on the way home from Lindisfarne, It did not disappoint on any level!
