Reflections – My year in paintings 2016: part 3

Here are some bits and bobs before I move to part 4 with my landscape studies. While exploring my art direction I toyed with the idea of doing naïve paintings of buildings.  The Chilton Post Office was done as a commission at the end of 2015, and the other two in 2016. Photoshop for kids – Penguins: lessons 2 & 3

Isabel spent 3 weeks in South Africa and visited Cape Town where we lived when her Mum was at school.  She went to the very famous Boulders' Beach where you end up swimming with little Jackass Penguins. We decided to re-create the scene using the beaded penguins she bought and some pretty pebbles. First we painted the sea when I popped in for tea on Saturday. Ghost Flowers – Photoshop for kids

I thought it would be a good idea to save my ten-year-old granddaughter from afternoon-club at school. Isabel and Hattie visit once a week anyway, to play and have supper, but suddenly Izzy had an extra afternoon and I thought some computer skills would be useful.  Isabel is an artist, so Photoshop seems a fun thing to do and a good option.
