We have a very, calligraphically speaking, exciting celebration next year in May. It is the Oxford Scribes 3oth anniversary. So there will be a big exhibition. We intend creating an installation - it may be a secret so I should not disclose what it is - but everyone has been asked to make ribbons from a colour selection of Canson Mi Tiente. Lino – the 26-LX collaboration
I told you all about the LX-26 collaboration where we were given a partner - I am partnered with Laura and we got a random word at The Word ceremony - www.linkerrdesign.co.uk/2013/05/lx-26-lino-is-it/ Our word is lino - so Laura came from London to visit me at Oxford at Oxford Printmakers Co-op. My first lino-cut
...well since I was ten.Bear in mind that I'm doing this intuitively with no books or advice, but two nice tools and the suggestion that the new vinyl is softer than lino and that some people prefer it. This is because I have a time scale - this lino cut need to be cut and printed within three days, so I opted for the green vinyl. The casual wavy edges are deliberate.
