I first came across this dear little bell-like flower in Charles Rennie Mackintosh's flower painting. I thought he'd invented a checked flower! But no, it really is checkered and moreover it is known as the Jewel of Oxfordshire. I wove some of my handprinted monoprints and laminated Chinese rice paper to the back to keep them form falling apart, then cut and glued them.
