Artweeks is upon us, the exhibition is hung and we are ready for the private view tomorrow evening.There are three of us at Twitten: Ken Messer with his Oxford cityscapes and Dreaming Spires, Susanna with red kites, cockerels and village scenes and my work - flowers and weeds. Wild Flowers 6 – Comfrey
Since coming home, I have been very busy with my wild flower series and have nearly finished. Comfrey or "Knitbone" as it was called is traditionally medicinal although a little dubious. Apparently it makes fantastic fertiliser. You can put the leaves in your compost heap or dig them directly into the soil as it has loads of potassium.
