Babylonstoren in the Western Cape, South Africa, where I spent a gorgeous indulgent day out with Bev. At this fruit and vegetable farm every area was exquisitely thought out from the pretty chickens to the old metal gate (?) trellis.This bottle was tied around the pear when it was tiny so that it can grow inside the bottle and eventually it would be immersed in pear liqueur. Patterns at Babylonstoren

"Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty and diversity" is the official description. Bev Gillespie took me out there for a day.
