To create a really beautiful sunset we will be glazing and painting with transparent oils.
We will also create some texture in the foreground with impasto for contrast.
Get your cameras snapping this summer when you have your evening drinks so that you have lots of lovely material to work from.
I will have some photos in my archive, but using your own is always better.
You can print your photos at A5 or work from your ipads. (A phone camera is a bit small to work from).
If you are supplying your own materials – my three favourite transparent sunset colours are:
W&N Quinacridone Red
W&N Permanent Rose
W&N Transparent Gold Ochre
It is worth having at least one of these.
Included in the fees: easel , small table, glass, solvent.
Optional: all materials supplied for an extra £20 per course. (canvas or board, oils etc.)

Each person will be responsible to help set up and take down their own workstation consisting of table, easel etc. and ensure that their ‘space’ is left clean and oil-paint free.
