Notan 1 – inspired by Morandi
Level: Absolute Beginner to intermediate. Even if you have some drawing experience this non-threatening course is fun and has great loosening up techniques. We use a variety of papers and accessible materials – felt-tips, pencils, tissue paper and glue-stick. This workshop should be completed before doing Notan 2: The Art of composition.
- Week 1: Drawing in the dark and blind contour drawing
- Week 2: Taking the line for a walk
- Week 3: The in-between spaces
- Week 4: Tonal Shapes and spaces
