Swatches for the workshop

Ahh, the colour swatches. These always take so long so I think I'm going to just let the group do a few swatches and then play with effects. This group is Open Books, so instead of something calligraphic I'm going to investigate using colour to create form and see how many original ideas we can come up with besides exploring the properties of the paints.Each person can choose between one of four colour scehmes. My watercolours need a make-over

It's so hard to tear myself away from the Nautilus. But, today I have to get my colour swatches for a workshop titled "Skating on Thin Ice" for this Friday's art group and the 21st January. 3 JanuaryTime to plan the lettering.This is part of a larger piece of work with the front side of the nautilus in water colour.The blue watercolour background is covered in transfer gold (yes, 23.5c gold). This is something new for me and I'm keeping it stylised by showing a view looking down. Nautilus Shell
