You may remember that I began my quest with getting back to my fine arts roots a while ago. I have found the head-space to ‘get back into oils’ and I don’t know what took me so long! Moreover, I will begin teaching oil painting early next year.

We have been in Oxfordshire (from Twickenham) for 7 years now and each year as I get more into harmony with the seasons, I fall more deeply in love with the countryside. This has renewed an interest in painting landscape especially moody landscapes. I love the deep purpleish-indigo skies vibrating it’s edges against the surreal lime of the rape fields.
I have designed my flyer and sent off to have 1000 printed at Vista Print. (Calligraphers, don’t be sad, I am still doing book arts, calligraphy and teaching calligraphy, but I thrive on creative variety!)
I have purchased easels, palettes, paints, mediums, brushes and palette knives. We have also sorted out the lighting to enable teaching to take place in winter with the early evenings.
So here goes:

Those look so exciting.I wish I lived near you. I’m looking for art classes here in Brisbane, but so far none that fit with other activities.
Hi Audrey Hope you are settling in. Thanks – we somehow never spent enough time together when we were neighbours! Love Lin
Good luck to you Lin. Wish I was close enough to partake, envious of all the lucky participants who are able to flock to your studio! Look forward to reading about it next year. Hugs, Rae
