I had decided that I need to wind up the sponsership for LuSan’s No.1 Corn Oil on Wednesday, so there are only two more days to contribute. So far my blog readers have given LuSan enough to buy the oil extraction unit – £250.00. Thank you. If anyone would still like to make a donation, email me and tell me the amount and I can send a Pay-pal money request to their email address. Please don’t feel pressurised – this is just something that may have caught your fancy! Many of you already have your own charities…
I thought my Peruvian Lilies – or Astroemerias were complete. Then I went to a barbecue at a friends and she had lovely table napkins with a little bit of copperplate lettering over the flowers. It made me want to dash home and add some lettering to my painting. So I did. (the next day) And here it is.
But there is still the final touch on the iris that I spoke of on Friday. Words of course!

The tiny little flowers are called astrantias. I have been playing a bit with space and perspective, by tipping the rim, and keeping the lower half of the painting relatively simple.
I said on Friday that I had an idea that I wanted to try out on the iris. I felt that the iris needed an edge. It was also this which inspired me to add words to the Astroemerias, but I had already planned a tag. I would like to know from you if you think the tag is a good idea or a bad idea. As blog readers you always give honest opinions and this is much appreciated!

I hope to take better photos of these tomorrow and get these paintings onto my website!
I like the label, it seems to balance the picture.
Glad the serviettes were of some other use! I think the wording on the painting really takes it up a level.
Also like the tag on the Iris, just makes the painting a bit different.
Beautiful !!
