Tulip Days

A few wonderful days of celebration with lots of tulips – these are Caroline’s favourite flower – her parents are Dutch, my father was from Holland, friends had sent tulips just before the wedding and the bridal bouquet was …t.u.l.i.p.s.

This little vignette shows some of the tulips doing their lovely swooping movement as they droop then lift their heads.

Unfortunately my tulips started blooming end of March due to the heat and draught in California. They were beautiful and it was quite a spectacle but the 350 flowers in my backyard are already gone since april 15. A pity.

Sorry to hear about your tulip days being so short especially after all that effort. I hope they are more rewarding next year.
