White Tulips in the evening: 37cm X 40cm
Now apologies for the you tube link I sent. It didn’t open for me either yet it did last night. Perhaps this was the moment it got taken off? Neils Shoeman wrote BEAUTY in water on asphalt and I loved his energy and the way he allowed his broom to do some deliberate gestural-spatters as well.
By way of apology, follow this link to my friend Andrew van der Merwe’s beach calligraphy. Andrew is a friend from Cape Town who is a hard-core surfer and calligrapher. See how he has combined his work and the beautiful beaches of Cape Town. (Gosh I can get nostalgic for those beaches!)
No need to apologize, Lin. You are so generous with your time & talent.
Beautiful Lin! Both your tulips and the beach calligraphy.
If you ever get a beach craving, go north, north then north again. Google “sandwood bay sutherland” images, though no sign of any sand calligrapher there!
Love your White Tulips in the Evening – simply gorgeous! The beach calligraphy was awesome too. Thanks for sharing such wonderful art – both lots. Have a great time in Australia.
I’ve been searching around for inspiration for an Easter card for a dear friend, but failing to find quite the right subject, but now I have just the thing – I will try a white tulip! if it comes out an ‘nth’ as lovely as yours I will be a happy bunny! (no Easter pun intended! thank you Lin for your continuing wonderful blog ands your willingness to share. xx
Thanks for the link. I have seen Andrew’s work on Facebook. Awesome!
Love the tulips and water calligraphy.
