We approached this iconic building by boat on a river cruise. (One of Singapores’ best kept secrets is that you can pay local fares with your metro or bus card, but you need to make sure that you don’t board the tourist river boat, paying $25 instead of $3. This is easiest to do by boarding upstream at Robertson’s Quay.)
Below you can see the river taxi and the view of the 21st century Singapore skyline. The wheel is 30M higher than the London Eye. All boats have eyes – to see where they are going naturally!
I attracted quite a fan club, and here are some of my sweetest admirers. By the time I had completed the painting, the building looked like this, with different contrasts.
