After doing the little paintbrush book for my granddaughter, I thought it would be nice to do a few little books for child-artists. It is an excellent challenge to say everything in a mere 8 pages and makes the thinking very concise.
Here is the painting for the cover for Red, Yellow and Blue. Mixing colours – Book 1
I gave the colours faces to help the children remember the primaries and secondaries and to give it more child-appeal, although I’m sure you’ll all feel I spoilt a nice little painting. Don’t worry, the faces are added in Photoshop! (In the paintbrush book I gave all the paintbrushes names and Izzy calls them by their names and is now very careful not to leave the brushes with their heads in water, in case they drown!) I would really like to hear from you, especially people who are interested in child-art. What do you think about the faces. Yes or No?
