And now for the December Winner. Each month we are doing a draw from all the comments for a give-away. I put the names into my hat, Dave closes his eyes and does the draw!
Please comment as often as you can – the name of each commenter that month goes into the hat as many times as you comment, which improves your chances of winning. My most avid commenter, Bev, has her name in each hat 3-4 times – its just a matter of time before you win Bev! And when she does, please all cheer! (This is not favouritism; just betting odds)
If you win you can choose from a 2-3 gifts and you are invited to show your work on the blog or tell us a little about yourself – optional of course!
This month, Anne Hercock has won a copy of The Rope of Words. Here is what she says:
Dear Lin
Thank you, Lin. I’ve posted you another 6 sets of swatches in a different pair of colours which hopefully you can use. Don’t worry if you can’t. Looking forward to using blended colours as a calligraphy background.
Good luck to Bev!
Wow! a contest! I missed that and will have to comment more often now! I send your blog link to my art and calligraphy and printmaking friends often!
I love my Rope of Words book! And I especially enjoy your posts about you grandchildren’s art work. The house portraits were very nice! I recently entered a calligraphy piece for our guild show at the Austin airport, with this quote: “It’s never too late to have a happy childhood,” by Tom Robbins. The piece included primary colors all around and miniaturizations of my grandson’s drawings! Adorable. I will try to send you a photo.
No, sorry, can’t do that yet. Have to learn to get images across from iPhoto to here!
